Supporting research:
    • In the article, See!, Hear! Enhanced Podcasting with Garageband, the author states that GarageBand's podcasting tool is perfect for recording student instructional project such as music ethnographies, child-narried musical stories, student compositions, etc.
    • Demski (2001) describes digital music as technology that allows students with little musical background to crete and compose music. She says that it allows students to understand music and what goes into creating music, things like harmony, melody and rhythm.

Tried & True or New & Innovative:

  • NI: For this assignments students will be using all fairly new technologies. Although their primary tool will be the internet, their primary sources of information will be YouTube and iTunes, both of which are new technologies. Additionally, they will use Garage Band to recreate the sound of the authentic piece.
